I've learned that progress is annoyingly difficult to see while you're making it.

You look at yourself every day.

Of course you don't notice.

Then one day you realise something that used to be difficult has become normal.

You can lift more.

Run farther.

Build something you couldn't build before.

Speak a little more confidently.

Handle something that would have broken you a year ago.

And you realise:

Oh.

I changed.

Not overnight.

Not because of one extraordinary decision.

Just because I kept showing up.

There is something comforting about that.

You don't always need a breakthrough.

Sometimes you just need another day.

Then another.

Then another.

Keep going.
